What’s the dillio, indeed?
So much, so much, but much speculation and anticipation.
Let’s start with the question “How have I been creative recently?”
Well, here is the thing, since I last typed here we have acquired a new pup names Peppermint Mocha. A lovely, 3 year old, pittie with the energy of a late summer thunderstorm. I have been dedicating a lot of time to her as the first weeks of adopting are always a bit hectic from them learning you, and you learning them… and them learning the neighbors, and all the new sounds, and animals, and smells, and routines, and sleeping positions, and choosing which side to push me off the bed or which muscle to crease into a question mark, or even a Z… Also, learning that the little critters in the cage aren’t for her personal entertainment… “BUT DAD! THEY ARE RIGHT THERE AND THEY SOUND LIKE MY TOYS!!! I NEED TO SEE THEM!!!”…Where was I going with that, exactly, of yes, she needed a tag. SO, I made her one out of some nice, shiny backed, acrylic. Shaped like a pepper and all pretty. (Insert photo here when I remember that much of blogging is showing off what you are talking about…).
I am also worked for some updated decals for my car, since V1.0 melted from the heat of the turbo… I took a stab at different paint splatter ideas and all I can say is, I am still learning what does and does not work when dealing with vinyl… What some may know about me is that I tend to not know when I am done, including when I just NEED those small details in a decal… It you have ever tried to cut small details with a vinyl cutter, you know the problem here… Lots of small pieces getting stuck in places they don’t belong, blade cutting gumming up the vinyl, and a weeding nightmare. Thankfully, I was going for more organic shapes and all the pieces that failed helped add their own little details. One thing I did do that I was proud of, is adding my little mask logo to a paint splat… I don’t know why it feels like a great win, but I will take it. Oh yeah, I DO have a photo of this though (had to share it to the local MINI club after all!)

Other things creatively I have accomplished these past weeks are really just school related stuff, had to design a logo for myself and translate that to a business card and letterhead. Honestly, not my favorite design, but I do plan on tweaking it a bit for future use… Maybe I will need a card at some point which ISN’T specifically associated with the things or stuff I sell. Disregard the placeholder information and the font which I forgot to embed… Oh well, there’s a reason I am still learing, right?

What is in the future?
OK, so here is where I will type a bit about what is coming for me. Starting this week, I am in bust my butt mode for my first market of the season. I have to go through all of my inventory and figure out what it is I am adding to the mix. I still have loads of coasters and small engraved, painted items and maybe an inventory of 1000 stickers (some of which have to be repackaged as they will no longer be hanging on a peg in a physical store for a while.) I would love to dwindle down my sticker inventory as I have SO MANY NEW DESIGN IDEAS that I want to get printed!
On the agenda are pins, windchimes and maybe some more new keychain styles… Maybe some more pet centric items, garden things, things for a dorm room…
My next market is 20 June 2026 in Claremont New Hampshire. The whole event is to support Ryan, the owner of “The Ghost Roast Coffee Shop” in Springfield VT, with medical and financial support. (Here is a link to the GoFundMe associated with more information: https://gofund.me/36e849d50) The event will be from 9-3 at 172 Thrasher Rd in Claremont. There will be many vendors as well as raffles and a great community vibe!
As for the the future of the future, I will also be at Concord Arts Market’s Art In The Park events in August 8, September 12 and October 10, which is hosted from 10am-3pm at Rollins Park in Concord NH.
Currently that is all I have planned for this summer, but stay tuned, as there may be more news in the near to far future (^_^)~~~
