Idly yours- MANIX
So, first and foremost, it has been too long since I put my words up here… I have been idle, in a non-idle way. Don’t get me wrong, I have done things but, not much in the way of things… Ya know? When was my last blurb? Wait, that was more than 2 months ago??! Let me rewind my memory to remember all that has changed since June.
Since June, I have been part of one other market, Arts In The Park right here in Concord. The day was HOT, humid and sunny (low 90°F with 75% RF Humidity and no cloud cover), but, that’s why I have a battery powered fan which I buried my face in when not talking to people, bugs, or dogs…Despite the heat, it was a great market. I was set up across from the musician playing and under a tree.
Setup went easy as I have found a new way to set up my stickers that leaves my tables free for other stuff and things. I have also added a game to the fun of my booth in which you can get a mystery sticker pack for the price of rolling a pair of dice (you roll a 5 and you pay $5 for a mystery sticker pack) and if you guess your roll before rolling, that sticker pack is yours for free! Mind you, I typically sell these mystery sticker packs (which each have at least $20 worth of stickers in them) for $11, so you have a 1:10 chance of getting your stickers for a discount, or even free, but you may also pay $1 more for the sticker pack if you manage to roll a 12. It was actually a pretty good hit as I had a few takers, with one kiddo ending up with 2 sticker packs (9 stickers total) for less than the price of 2 stickers! Meanwhile, one “taker” decided he would roll the dice, but when he didn’t guess his number, he decided he no longer wanted to buy a sticker pack. Guess it’s a risk I take. By the end of that market, many of my stickers had new homes as well as some Gnome signs, so I would say it was a success.
Next market (September 12 at Rollins Park for those wondering) I will finally have some smaller items available as I finally plopped down the hefty sum of hundreds of pennies for an ear-ring rack so I will have ear rings and key chains/bag pulls available as well! That’s exciting, isn’t it?
Ooooo also, other big news, I FINALLY AM THE OWNER OF A BANNER! Now there are no excuses when you tell me “I was there but I couldn’t find your booth.”
OK, I am failing at this blogging thing today, so I am adding the photos I tried to have inline below in case you are interested in seeing what my booth looked like for my last market. I have also included some photos of a wind chime I spent most of July making, maybe there will be more coming (that are a little less).
Since you read this all, I wanted to let you know that I appreciate you all. Remember top have fun and be kind.
Find me:
September 12 and October 10 at Rollins Park in Concord NH as well as
October 18 for a Halloween Craft and Fun Fair at Condon Shell on MVPkwy in Medford MA from 10-3.
