I EXIST (TƧIXƎ I):

I, like many adolescents and teens, always thought I was one of a kind. I was unique. There weren’t any others like me. This view went further than personality, however. I was unique, but I didn’t exist.
When it came to the real world, I always felt alone. There were a lot of things that made me ME, only I exist with these experiences. I felt alone. I didn’t exist.
There were items about myself and my experience that were my own and didn’t exist in anyone else.
As I grew older and my circles grew, I realized that some of these experiences I have always felt were unique to myself, and were similar to others. Pieces of my puzzled existence were now shared with others who felt as if their unique experiences were theirs only as well.
When I was able to find common ground with friends, acquaintances, and even strangers, I was able to feel as if I exist, in doing so, I was able to give them their existence as well.
The first person I needed to let know about my own existence, however, was myself. I needed that reminder.
One day I wrote “I EXIST” on my opened hand, so I could see the message throughout the day. The problem was, the message was in my hand, which would be hidden by a fist when I needed to know most.
I then made a small sticker I placed on my shirt, so I could see the message even if I was angry, or sad. One of the things I would do is look at my reflection and see how the world is seeing me. When I did so, the sticker I had made would read “TƧIXƎ I”.
I decided that I would mirror the letters so when I reflected on myself in the mirror, the rest of the world would be reversed, but I would be able to read “I EXIST” clearly… Even if everything else was warped.
The I EXIST is created as a reminder to others that they do exist.
The TƧIXƎ I is created as a reminder to yourself that you exist.
Sometimes the reminder is needed to move forward. To exist. To help others exist.
